5. What should be done when the chrome-plated layer is low in hardness and dark gray in the chrome-plating process of the printing plate?
In the chromium plating process of the printing plate, the hardness of the chromium plating layer is often low, and the phenomenon of gray and dark color occurs. If the temperature and current density are not properly matched, the two should be adjusted to the normal range. If the sulfuric acid content is too low, analysis is needed to adjust the sulfuric acid content.

6. What should I do if the edge of the plating layer is black or gray in the chrome plating process of the printing plate?
In the chromium plating process of the printing plate, the edge of the plating layer often appears black or dark gray. If the current density is too large, the current density needs to be reduced. If the temperature of the electrolyte is too low, the temperature of the electrolyte needs to be increased. If the current is too large when the roller enters the groove, it is necessary to control the current density when the roller enters the groove.

7. How to deal with the slow deposition rate of the plating layer in the chromium plating process of the printing plate?

When the deposition rate of the coating is slow in the chromium plating process of the printing plate, it may be due to the poor conductivity. The way to eliminate it is to check the conductivity of the anode and cathode.

8. Which aspects should be tested for the copper plating quality of the roller?
① Visually check whether the surface is smooth after copper plating. The coating surface is required to be smooth and clean, free of burrs, blistering, and peeling.
②Check with a hardness tester to see if the hardness of the copper layer is within the specified range. If the hardness is too high, it is necessary to dilute the concentration of additives in the electroplating solution, otherwise it will be reduced.
③Measure the thickness of the coating. This refers to the thickness of the plate-making copper layer, which needs a certain thickness, otherwise it will bring difficulties to post-processing. Of course, the thickness should be determined according to the post-processing method and post-processing allowance.

9. Which aspects of roller plate making quality should be tested?
The quality of roller plate making should be tested in the following aspects:
(1) Check whether the registration signal mark and gauge line on the roller are correct.
(2) After roller plate making, it is best to use a dot detector to check the depth of the dot, midtone, dark tone and high profile.
(3) Check whether the roller size is correct.
(4) Check whether the pattern arrangement is correct.
